I choose to believe that God is. I choose to believe that God knows. I choose to believe that God cares. I choose to believe that God will act for his glory and my good. I choose to believe, like it says in Romans 8, that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purposes. Here is a range of mountains called fear. When we trust God, we put our whole weight on him. He carries us over the mountain range of fear because he loves us the most, he is stronger than all, and he has the big picture in his sights.

The prophet Habakkuk's situation was out of his control, and the fear that Habakkuk made a choice to live by his faith () and rejoice in God. Even though the Bible tells us to “be not afraid” but it's next to impossible to follow that advice when faced with the big - and small - “what-ifs” of life. Chronic.
We can learn a lot from their example. In addition, reading the Bible allows God to speak to us. His words will not only bring us comfort, but they will give us direction. One of the best resources is the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Even if we spend only a few minutes each day, we can learn much about our Catholic faith. Aside from the obvious benefit, doing so helps us to understand the incredible depth of what we believe. As we begin to understand more about the Lord and His Church, our faith will grow.

Many of us have gotten so used to living with anxiety that we sometimes forget that there is an answer.
The only thing you have to lose is your anxiety! I am looking forward to reading your book! As an infant I had a terrifying experience and a challenging upbringing that set the stage for great fear for the rest of my life. I have been dealing with anxiety, dysthymia depression and my fears for all of my 52 years. I do believe with all my heart that God — strong trust in our Lord Jesus — is the only way through my fears.
These fears have never left me, but I am always presenting them to Jesus and asking him and Our Lady to help me. As for now, we fight the good fight! I strongly concur that all the strategies that you mentioned in this article are the only sure ways through it.
Peace, Heidi. Pingback: Faith is the Answer to Fear.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful post. Here is the kind of fruit it produces. We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak! These men explored the land God had blessed them with, but after exploring the land for 40 days, they returned and reported a variety of fears.
But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. Caleb saw the same land as those in the previous verses, but he had a different view. After he explored the land, he reported back with confidence and faith in God.
His faith in God made him fearless. How do you tend to influence people around you?
Do people walk away from time spent with you more faithful and confident than they were before? They are stronger than we are! All the people we saw were huge. A great relationship with God produces faith not fear. Then the whole community began weeping aloud, and they cried all night.
